About the Book

You might not know his name, but chances are you’ve seen veteran stuntman Carl Ciarfalio in blockbuster films and TV shows including Fight Club, Far and Away, 24, “Walker, Texas Ranger,” Casino (remember the guy who got his head crushed in a vise?) and many more!

This book shares Carl’s best stories from four decades in Hollywood: from his humble beginnings as a bumbling cowboy stuntman at Knott’s Berry Farm to what it’s like to work with elite actors and directors. You’ll be riveted  by these insider stories. You’ll read about mega-celebrities (some nice, some not) and about gnarly stunts (those that went well and a few that didn’t). The book shares a number of Carl’s successes, but doesn’t shy away from a few embarrassing moments. You’ll also enjoy and benefit from his unique insights and advice about the entertainment business and the exciting world of stunts.

Carl’s life off the set has been just as interesting. He opens up about a teen pregnancy, single fatherhood, surviving a nasty Hollywood divorce, finally finding true love – and a devastating true-life experience involving a criminal driving a half-ton truck.

As compelling as your favorite action movie, Stars, Stunts and Storieswill have you turning the pages … and glued to your seat!

Carl Ciarfalio is a 40-year veteran of the film and television industry. He enjoys a prolific career as an actor, stuntman, stunt coordinator, voice-over artist, and now, speaker and author.

An award-winning college wrestler and football player, Carl got his start in the western-themed shows at Knott’s Berry Farm and Universal Studios. He went on to appear in several hundred television programs and feature films.

During his career, Carl has worked alongside and learned from film and television heavyweights including Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, Steven Soderbergh, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Clint Eastwood, Kiefer Sutherland, Martin Lawrence and Chuck Norris.
